My first bike was a cruiser bike made by Puch.  My dad took the fenders off and flipped the handlebars so they were more like drop bars.

What music do you listen to while training:

Metallica, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, The Killers

Favorite off-season hobby:

I enjoy driving and working on my motorcycles.  I have 2 early ‘70’s Honda Cb500’s, one of which is a project bike.

That’s a toss up between Mexican and Thai.

I’m not superstitious

 

Favorite Race:

I love Battenkill because its so unique, but Univest holds a special place in my heart since it’s just down the road from my house.

Cranberry Island, Maine.

I’d throw them out and take a good book instead.

 

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment in sports:

I consider making the 2008 Olympic Team to be my biggest accomplishment in cycling.

 

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment outside of sports:

I think my biggest non-sporting accomplishment to date was enrolling as a full-time undergraduate student at Penn State at age 16, and completing my business management degree.
